This portrait of two brothers was part of a portrait session in Venice. We had almost finished photographing the family, so while I worked with the parents the boys explored the local streets and alleys. Although they were always within our sight, almost everywhere they walked presented me with another opportunity for a portrait. Venice is a portrait photographer's paradise except for one thing; unless we are very careful, the city can overpower the person we are photographing.
